Before You Request an Item:

READ THE ABSTRACT (i.e. Summary)
Look for Relevant Subjects or Keywords
Identify the Material Type

• eBooks Cannot Be Requested
• May Not Be Appropriate for Your Research:
  • Juvenile Items: too general for college research
  • Dissertations: usually unpublished

Check the Article Language

• Database Records are in English
• Articles May Be in Another Language

Ensure You Have Time to Wait

• Articles: 2-3 business days
• Books: 7-14 days

Double-Check Free Internet Availability

• Search Using a Search Engine:
  • Article Title
  • Author

Interlibrary Loan Request

After you review the full record, you may submit an: 

Interlibrary Loan (ILL) Form:

1. Click on a link to Request the Item
2. Fill out the short form
3. Click the ‘Submit’ link
