Empower - Module 2 - Choosing Your Topic

Before You Start

Before You Start

Consider the purpose of your research project.

Table considering research project purposes: If the purpose is Academic, you need to first understand the assignment. An example of an academic research project is a 20 page term paper. If the purpose is Professional, you need to first identify your task or professional development goal. An example of a professional research project is a corporate presentation. If the purpose is Personal, you need to first know the question you want to answer. An example of a personal research project is to identify the steps to investing.

For this tutorial, we will focus on Academic Purpose.
