Welcome to the APA Citation Module!

In this module, you will learn about the American Psychological Association Style, 7th edition. APA Style is a framework that creates a uniform standard for scientific writing. APA Style is typically used to format and provide source attribution in scholarly journal articles, student research papers; and theses/dissertations in many disciplines.  These disciplines include, but are not limited to, Psychology, Education, Medicine, and Social Sciences.

  • identify differences between a Reference List entry and an in-text citation entry
  • identify citation formats for often utilized resources: books, articles (journal, magazines, and newspapers and websites
  • avoid common mistakes while formatting entries
